Furnished holiday letting
The proposal to withdraw the special treatment of furnished holiday letting has been dropped from the Finance Bill.  This measure is likely to be reintroduced later.

Self-Assessment Deadlines
If you are required to make payments on account of your 2009/10 tax liability, the second of these is due on 31 July 2010.
Company accounts filing 
The time allowed for filing accounts at Companies House has been reduced by one month, and the late filing penalties have increased.
